Kate Garrett is planning to cover the helter-skelter development of the Fox in the Batavia vicinity, c. 1830-1842, the Illinois Supreme Court fight between Newton and Van Nortwick regarding water rights, and, if time permits, discuss the 20th century push to deindustrialize and "clean up" the Fox.
