On the second Monday of each month, the Batavia Lyceum Association hosts a discussion on a variety of topics. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., discussion begins at 7:00 p.m.
Kate Garrett is planning to cover the helter-skelter development of the Fox in the Batavia vicinity, c. 1830-1842, the Illinois Supreme Court fight between Newton and Van Nortwick regarding water rights, and, if time permits, discuss the 20th century push to deindustrialize and "clean up" the Fox.

After expanding by playing many different genres, including hard rock, thrash metal, punk, blues, jazz and soul, Shukin found his own unique sound. With a versatile array of original material and cover songs, he provides not only quality music, but a good time. He is currently fronting his own band, Shukin and the Ramblers, as well as playing guitar with local garage soul group Black Bolts and collaborating with many other local artists live and in the studio.

John Till is a solo acoustic act out of Bloomington, IL. With slide guitar, banjo, and acoustic guitar come arrangements steeped heavily in the fingerpicking styles of the Delta Blues. Bouncing baselines and dancing melodies driven along with two part foot percussion provide a uniquely dynamic listening experience.
