On the second Monday of each month, the Batavia Lyceum Association hosts a discussion on a variety of topics. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., discussion begins at 7:00 p.m.

Kate Garrett is planning to cover the helter-skelter development of the Fox in the Batavia vicinity, c. 1830-1842, the Illinois Supreme Court fight between Newton and Van Nortwick regarding water rights, and, if time permits, discuss the 20th century push to deindustrialize and "clean up" the Fox.

Noah Gabriel and Ryan Carney have been operating in the same musical circles for the past 20 years. Noah, an accomplished guitarist/singer-songwriter from Aurora, IL with 12 albums under his belt and Ryan, a cellist/bassist from St. Charles, IL who’s worked with The Chicago Classic Symphony, Antony and The Tramps, and Elliot Waits for No One, finally joined forces when the clubs opened up post pandemic. In the year that has followed their unique spin on Americana and Folk Rock has garnered a great local buzz.
