An endeavor most educational and philisophical, a gathering most intellectual and satirical and hysterical and libational.

This month: Steve Bayer presents “Shakespeare: The Upstart Crow”
STEVE BAYER is a drama teacher at the Science & Arts Academy, photographer, performer, writer, new Batavia resident, and, most importantly, dedicated husband and father. He holds an MA in Theatre History and a BS in Theatre (Acting) from Illinois State University, and some favorite performance credits include the premiere of David Alex’s Onto Infinity and sharing the sublime zaniness of Batavia’s own Troupe Strozzi.
“Shakespeare: The Upstart Crow”, will delve into the “slings and arrows” the Bard of Avon faced contemporaneously and in more recent times. You will hear monologues from some notable villains and eccentric characters, with contextual bookends that prove “he is as well able to bombast out a blanke verse as the best” of the defamatory elite who have done him “notorious wrong.”
