What began as a few friends playing songs along the banks of the Fox River in northern Illinois has formed to become the bluegrass/newgrass band that is River Valley Rangers They have developed a high-energy stringbandsound that is firmly rooted in bluegrass yet draws on a variety of musical influences. With a love of the great outdoors, long rides on the motorcycle, river-valleys, good family, friends, food, and drink, the Rangers bring a
passion to their music that will keep you listening and grooving all night long! Having shared the bill and the stage with artists including: Jeremy Garrett of The Infamous Stringdusters, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, the Larry Keel Experience, Cold War Kids, Pert’ Near Sandstone, Special Consensus, Hot Buttered Rum, Henhouse Prowlers, The Way Down Wanderers, and many more regional and national artists, the Rangers continue to build a loyal following within the bluegrass and jam scene. Burning like a Midwestern prairie fire, they aren’t slowing down anytime soon!
