Tank & the Beez began in early 2012, after Brian “Tank” Blankenship and Beth “Beez” Malouf met while working in non-profit, discovered a mutual fondness for great music, and immediately fell in love.

The duo began performing in the Chicago suburbs with Tank on piano and Beez on vocals, playing exclusively tunes from the Great American Song Book. Over time, the focus broadened and the duo became a celebration of the roots of American music, which includes blues, jazz, early folk, and bluegrass from the late-nineteen and early-twentieth centuries.
